Grade 5/6 Numeracy

We have come to an end to Term 1 and the students in 5/6 Numeracy have worked very hard to achieve high results with their tests. We have completed 4 major tests which were Number and Algebra 1 and 2, Statistics which focused on graphs and Measurement. Students also complete two online tests for all areas of Numeracy. Students have been challenged and will continue to be challenged with their numeracy skills.

In term 2 week five, the grade 5 students will be completing the NAPLAN test. Students should practise at home and school in order to better prepare themselves for the test. Students should time themselves at home while completing the practise tests as students sometimes run out of time. Naplan sample tests can be obtained from myself, newsagencies, Big W and K-Mart. You can also go into the Naplan website for further details.

During the term break students in grade 5 and 6 Numeracy could look into completing some Mathletics tasks to enhance their knowledge and understanding in various area of maths.
